Welcome to our school!

Creative Montessori was launched in 2002 by Will and Yvette Henricus with the mission of providing Burien children with a world-class Montessori education. Creative Montessori has grown to two centers- Creative Minds Academy, for children 3-6 years old, and Creative Steps, for children 18 months-3 years old. Both programs aim to foster lifelong learners and cultivate psychological independence by encouraging your child’s creativity, independence, and personal strengths. Children are motivated with creative play and exposure to math, reading, science, social studies, and the arts. Creative Montessori students and staff are actively involved in our community and frequently take their learning outside of the classroom with visits to local businesses, parks, libraries, and to interact with our local “superheroes” such as firefighters and police officers. We provide a truly world-class education with teachers who speak over 5 different languages and come from many different cultures and backgrounds. Creative Montessori has become a renowned Montessori institution with children from Federal Way to Seattle attending our two schools.
